Hello and welcome. My name is Derek Drayer and I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Florida. I will be graduating in December of 2013. My research interests include International Trade, Industrial Organization, and Applied Econometrics. I also enjoy working on Sports Economics and Policy Analysis. My current research examines bidding behavior in baseball arbitration.
I also gain great pleasure from working with students. I teach an undergraduate course in International Trade and a graduate course in Policy Analysis.
In my free time I love to swim, cycle, hike, and spend time with my dogs. I am also passionate about breast cancer research and I will be climbing Mt. McKinley this spring as part of a major fundraising effort.
I plan on attending the ASSA meetings in Philadelphia this January.
